Challenge

Provide team building and corporate training workshops during a two-day offsite. Specific focus was on helping employees develop problem-solving skills, generate a sense of ownership, and facilitate professional growth.

Solution

Desiring an inspirational setting to combine professional development with play, 5.12 Solutions partnered with Peaceful Valley Ranch & Conference Center in the scenic mountains of Boulder County. The two-day offsite started with the Hi-Tech Treasure Hunt where employees honed their leadership and communication skills to find hidden caches around the property.

Next, 5.12’s Corporate Climb challenged participants to a fun, and professionally guided, rock-climbing experience. Far beyond most stale, corporate training events, Corporate Climb reinforced trust in co-workers, and importantly, trust in oneself.

Finally, all participants engaged in one of 5.12 Solutions’ Inspiring Innovation Workshops related to decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Result

Following each activity, 5.12 Solutions facilitated group discussions to help participants translate the experience to their everyday work situations.
